Ms. Yvonne Snellman (Abar) Robinson

Yvonne Snellman (Abar) Robinson WATERFORD, Wis. - Yvonne (Abar) Snellman Robinson, age 55, formerly of Gainesville, Fla., and Medicine Lake, Mont., passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2008, after a five-year battle with MS and cancer. She was at the home of her sister Suzie and Buzz Romstad in Waterford at the time of her death. She was the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority House Director at the University of Florida (Gators) from June of 2002 to Spring Break in March of 2008; her sister Phyllis Beckham succeeded her in that capacity. The youngest of five children born to Robert and Myrtle (Johnson) Abar, she graduated from Medicine Lake H.S., and attended college in Glendive, Mont. She married Randy Snellman in 1972, and they have one son, Cody, on active duty with the Navy and stationed in Atsugi, Japan. She married Harold Robinson in 1995. She is survived by her son, Cody (Junko) Snellman and their son Alex (age 10) of Atsugi; siblings Jim (Ellen) Abar of Bloomington, Ind., Suzie (Buzz) Romstad, Waterford, Phyllis Beckham, Gainesville, Gordon (Barb) Abar, Homestead, Mont.; several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly; and also her special sister/friend June Walsh of Dagmar, Mont. Following cremation, a special service will be held in Sheridan County, Mont., on a later date. Memorial funds may be sent to Suzie Romstad, 617 Park Drive, Waterford, WI 53185, and will be given to the Shands Oncology Department, the Fresh Start Fellowship Church in Keystone Heights, Fla., and Racine Odyssey Healthcare Hospice. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
