Henningfeld, William L. “Bill” age 76 of Spring Prairie Township died suddenly at home on January 25, 2023. He was born in Burlington Wisconsin, the son of the late Robert and Agnes (nee. King) Henningfeld. He spent his early life in Waterford where he was a high school graduate. On August 23, 1969 he married Maryann Papineau at St. Mary’s Church in Burlington. The couple moved to their family farm in 1972 in the Town of Rochester where Bill and Maryann milked cows and raised a family. Bill enjoyed his farming days tending to the land and managing the farm animals and his John Deere tractors. He was a member of the Racine County Fair Board for several years. Later in life he drove bus for Thomas Bus in Burlington and drove Semi. In his spare time, he enjoyed horse pulls and tractor pulls at the local county fairs. Working with his Lionel HO train set was also a favorite pastime. Bill loved babysitting the grandkids, watching classic shows like Bonanza with them, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
Survived by loving wife: Maryann; Children: Barb (Tom) Howard; Judy Schweitzer; Mark (Katie) Henningfeld; Karen(Rick) Johnson and Cyndi(Mark) Nesson. Grandchildren: Shelby and Caleb Wagner; Cheyenne Schweitzer; Kellyn and Mallory Henningfeld; Aubree and Savana Nesson. Brothers and Sister: Don (Shelle) Henningfeld; Dave(Eileen) Henningfeld; Steve(Patty) Henningfeld; Chuck(Roxanne) Henningfeld; James(Linnet) Henningfeld and Mary(Robert) Kittel. Also survived by brother-in-law Kenny Vos, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, daughter Cathy Wagner, grandson Lane Schweitzer; sisters: Diane Vos and Carol Henningfeld.
Visitation Friday February 3, 2023 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 305 South First Street, Waterford, Wisconsin 53185 from 9-10:45 AM. Mass of Christian burial beginning at 11:00 AM in Church. Private family burial Mt. Hope Cemetery Town of Spring Prairie.
