Caliva, Vivian (nee. Sheets), age 92, of Rochester, passed away on June 2, 2015. Vivian was born in Kensal, North Dakota on February 23, 1923 to the late Charles and Clara (nee. Walrath) Sheets. On December 12, 1942 she married George Caliva at Christ Presbyterian Church in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2004. Vivian was retired from the food service at Waterford High School. She was a member of Rochester Congregational Church for over 50 years.
Vivian is survived by her children: Anthony (Dianne) Caliva of Franklin, WI, Bonnie (Ed) Ehlen of Pueblo, CO, and Jill (Dave) Williams of Tichigan, WI. She is further survived by 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and her brother: Gordon Sheets.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents: Charles and Clara Sheets; husband: George Caliva and her brother: Clifford Sheets.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First Congregational Church of Rochester – 103 South State Street, Rochester, WI 53167. Service will begin at 11:00 AM. A luncheon will be served in the church basement following services. There will be a private burial at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials be made to either First Congregational Church of Rochester or to the Salvation Army.
