Schultz, Violet (Vi) (nee. Stephenson) Age 93 of Whitewater formerly Raymond passed away August 25th, 2007, at Fairhaven Retirement Community, Whitewater, where she had resided since 1993. She was born on November 17, 1913 on the farm of her parents James and Florence (Nelson) Stephenson. Violet attended Drought Graded School, Rochester Agriculture School, and Miss Brown’s Business College. She was a bookkeeper before her marriage and then a homemaker. On December 30, 1950 she married Clarence Schultz in their home. “Auntie,” as she was so affectionately called by many, enjoyed sewing: crocheting; raising vegetables, fruits, and flowers in her garden: spending winters in their Florida trailer: and most of all, helping others with everything from child care to 4H projects, sewing, cooking and raising plants. Violet was a selfless woman who lived her life for others and will be dearly missed by so many including her eight devoted nieces and nephews whom she loved and cared for as if they were her very own children: Dave (Jan) Stephenson, Carol (Wayne) Beckman, Jim (Barb) Vyvyan, Wayne (Bev) Jensen, Don (Linda) Stephenson, Karen (Joe) Iselin, Vernell (Peter) Niess and John (Naomi) Vyvyan: 23 great nieces and nephews; 23 great-great Nieces and Nephews; many cousins; her church family and friends. Besides her parents, Violet was preceded in death by her husband; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruby (Robert) Vyvyan and Gladys (Earl) Jensen; and her brother and sister-in-law Earl (Jeanette) Stephenson; aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service, with Pastor Manda Stack officiating, followed by visiting and sharing, will be held on Sunday September 16, at 1:30 P.M. at Raymond Community Church – 8217 West 6 Mile Road (Hwy G), Franksville, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorials be given to Raymond Community Church or Fairhaven Foundation. Special Thank you to all the staff at Fairhaven who lovingly cared for Auntie.
