Klinzing, Violet I., 86, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Vi was born on July 16, 1926 in Gordon, WI and spent her early life there. After graduating high school, she continued her education and graduated from Nurses Training in Duluth, MN in 1948. It was while in Duluth that she met and then married Eugene Klinzing in 1948. They were happily married for 40 years until Eugene’s death in 1988. Vi worked at many hospitals and retired as a Registered Nurse from the VA Hospital in Milwaukee. She was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, Kulchar Fohr Post 8343 Auxiliary, Wind Lake and Waterford Seniors. Vi is survived by her children: Shirley (Charles) Wilkenson, Michael (Judith) Klinzing, Douglas (Debbie) Klinzing, Karen Nusser, Eugene Klinzing Jr., Anthony Klinzing, and Kenneth (Elizabeth) Klinzing. She is further survived by 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents: Oscar and Anna Roos, husband: Eugene, infant daughter: Louise, sisters: Virginia and Darlene, and brother: Richard “Dick”. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Clare Catholic Church from 9:30– 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Gene Doda Jr. officiating.
