Magner, Thomas P. “Tom”, age 92, of Waterford, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. Tom was born in Milwaukee, the son of the late Eugene and Viola (nee. Gargen) Magner. After graduating South Division High School, Tom proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. When Thomas returned to Milwaukee, he met and married Doris Danaher in June of 1951. Thomas was a self-employed builder and in 1965 formed Cade Homes and Cade Construction. He and his wife Doris raised four children. He enjoyed spending part of the year in Waterford on the water and remodeling his cottage, putzing, playing with his Kubota tractor, and just watching the birds and squirrels play. He spent the winters at his home in Naples, Florida, boating and fishing. Tom was best described as a man of faith. He loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by four children: Dale (Sherry), Dennis (Lynn), Dean (Sandy) and Joy Nilsen; grandchildren: Ryan, Meghan, Neil (Lynn), Stacie, Bradley (Mara), Shaun (Nicole), Justin, Erica, Christian and Summer; great-grandchildren: Jaden, Kieran, Genevieve, Jon, Jacqueline, Keith, Cade, Brynn, Allyssa and Elizabeth; along with other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Doris, second wife Joan, sister Joan, and grandson Sean.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 10 AM – 11:45 AM with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 12 Noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 South First Street, Waterford, WI 53185. Burial in the church cemetery will follow, with a luncheon for family and friends following the burial.
