Bushberger, Shirley-Mae Beverly (nee. Scheller) age 89, of Wind Lake, passed away peacefully at Waukesha Memorial Hospital on June 10, 2017. Shirley was born in Milwaukee to William and Bernice Scheller (nee. Johnson) on January 14, 1928. On February 14, 1948, she married Melvin Bushberger. They made their home in Wind Lake. Shirley worked for many years in food service at Muskego High School where she was fondly known by the students as Mrs. B. She was a member of the VFW Auxillary, volunteered as an aid at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and a member of Norway Lutheran Church. Shirley loved to dance and enjoyed knitting and quilting. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Melvin; three sons: Kevin (Janet), Clifford, and Barth (Patricia); five grandchildren; Aaron (Lisa), Michelle (Mike) Hotter, Rachel (Todd) Miller, Larissa, and Brittany; ten great-grandchildren (her "little Schnecks"): Isaac, Norah, and Emmett Bushberger, Mikey, Madden and Maren Hotter, Elizabeth Nezworski, Savannah, Kyle and Jacob Miller; two sisters: Danette (Darryl), and Audrey; two special friends: Kay Lecus and neighbor Jeff Dempsey and family; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, one son: Brian, and two brothers: Donald and Gerald.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM at Norway Lutheran Church (On the Hill) 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, WI 53185, with services starting at 1:00 PM. Burial will be held privately on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, Shirley's family suggest memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
