Monnin, Sharon (nee. Cromp) age 73, of Rochester, passed away peacefully with her dear husband Bill by her side on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington. Sharon was born on March 13, 1944 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Henry and Rose (nee. Kogut) Cromp. After graduating high school, she attended Bryant and Stratton College where she earned her Associate Business Degree. On October 24, 1969, she married William (Bill) Monnin in Buffalo. The couple lived in Ohio for a short time, then moved back to New York where Sharon was employed at Arcadia Graphics, later known as Quad Graphics. They moved to Rochester, WI after Bill’s job transferred him to the Milwaukee area. Sharon was very fond of all her animals, including her pigmy goats, chickens and seven dogs. She also cherished her time gardening in the rose garden. She will be sadly missed by Bill and all her neighbors and friends.
Sharon is survived by her husband Bill and one sister: Sandra Sunley. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2017, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with services starting at 12:00 Noon, officiated by Pastor John Wulz at Community United Methodist Church, 455 South Jefferson Street, Waterford, WI 53185. Burial will take place in Rochester Cemetery following services.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials made to any of your favorite local charities are suggested.
Bill sends a personal heartfelt “Thank You” to all the doctors, nurses and staff of Aurora Hospital of Burlington and Aurora VNA Hospice who cared for Sharon during this difficult time.
