Rosemary Riggs

March 24, 1932 — February 7, 2025

Rosemary Riggs, age 92 passed away peacefully at Oak Park Place in Burlington, Wisconsin on Friday, February 7, 2025. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 24, 1932. 

Rosemary was the daughter of Frank Sr. and Rose (Svec) Straka. She spent her early life working with her parents and brother, Frank Jr. at their family grocery store. The family later moved to their home on Eagle Lake in Kansasville, Wisconsin where she made many friends throughout her years living on the lake. Eventually, she met and then married Irving Riggs Jr. on May 30, 1953 at St. Mary's Church in Dover, Wisconsin. They had been married 65 years before Irving (Junior) passed on June 9, 2018. 

Rosemary is survived by daughter, Karen (Chuck) Kayser, Sons, Rich (Amy) Riggs, Andy (Sue) Riggs, Bob (Jackie) Riggs, and Tom (Kay) Riggs. Rosemary is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Jr., parents, Frank Sr. and Rose Straka, brother and sister-in law, Frank Jr. and JoAnn Straka, father-in law and mother-in law, Irving Sr. and Cleo Riggs, brother-in law and sister-in law, Edward and Henrietta Miller, along with nephew Larry Miller. 

Rosemary's family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to the entire Oak Park Place staff/volunteers, along with the staff from St. Croix Hospice for their continued kindness and support throughout Rosemary's stay. 

The family will hold a private ceremony at a later date.
