Baumeister, Rose A. age 95 of Village of Rochester passed away peacefully at home with family at her side February 13, 2014. Rose was born in Tomah, WI July 25, 1918 the daughter of the late Edward and Anna Houn. She was a graduate of Tomah High School and on December 26, 1946 she married William C. Baumeister. The couple lived on the Baumeister family farm in Rochester were they raised seven children. Rose worked for Burlington Mills for some time but mostly was a homemaker at heart. She enjoyed playing the Piano especially “You are my Sunshine” or listening to the “Blue Skirt Waltz”. She also enjoyed gardening, picking berries, making homemade bread and dancing. She was a devoted Member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where she was a former member of the Christian Mothers. Survived by her Seven Children: Donald, Patricia Mann, Richard, Helen (Gerald) Wolter, Joan Rossmiller, Paul (Estela) and Arlene (Jim) Mansky. Further survived by Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by her parents, Husband William, Sisters and Brothers: Sophia Hart, Albert, Linus and Lawrence Houn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 18th 2014 at 11:00 in the morning at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church 305 South First STreet (Hwy 20) Waterford with Reverend Gene Doda Jr. officiating. Visitation IN CHURCH Tuesday 9-10:45 AM. Burial to follow Mass at ST. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy memorials are suggested to ST. Thomas Church. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc.
