Ronald “Ron” Bruce, age 66, of Honey Creek passed away unexpectedly August 11, 2021. Ron was born to Vernon W. and Delores L. (nee: Jenss) in Milwaukee October 28, 1954. Ron grew up in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Custer High School in 1972. Ron worked at Insinkerator and after many years retired as a Sr. Mfg. Engineer. Ron met the love of his life in Wendy Jean Shackle and after their engagement would be married March 30, 1974, in Milwaukee. Ron moved his family to the Honey Creek area where he loved to take care of his yard. Ron also liked to watch old westerns and gangster movies, working on genealogy and canning. Some of his other hobbies were fishing, tending to the feral cats, woodworking and trolling at Menards for nothing, just looking. Ron looked forward to the yearly trip to Shawano, WI. looking at Indian trading post’s, especially in the Dells. However, none of this could compete with the love he had for his family and the baking of Christmas cookies. He will be dearly missed and if you knew Ron we will end with “Mopar or Nocar” Ron is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Wendy; three children: Kathryne, Jeanne LaRose, Christina; one sister Vicki (Tom) Rolfs; six grandchildren: Dillan, Angel, Jacob, Kira, Miles, Summer and one Great Grandchild Sophia; six nieces: Bambi, Bianca, Brandy, Charlotte, Bridgette and Star; nine nephews: Aaron, Oscar, Beau, Kevin, Jon, Jameson, Anthony, Phil, Lyle and Sebastian, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents and brother Kenneth.
