Mr. Roger Roepke

Roepke, Roger, W. Passed away on February 27, 2011 at age of 79. Born on March 5, 1931 in Rochester, Wisconsin to Roy and Thelma (nee.Jolin) Roepke. Roger was a lifelong resident of Tichigan Lake. He was married to Viola Kopelke on November 10, 1951. Roger served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked for Staff Electric in Milwaukee for 32 years before retiring in 1993. Roger enjoyed the great outdoors, spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, traveling, camping and golfing. He was a member of the Tichigan Lake Lion’s Club and the VFW Post 10441. He is survived by his children, Landy Roepke(Risa and Wyatt Smith) and Todd Roepke; grandchildren, Kristi Reynolds(Matt), Brad Roepke(Martha) and Scott Roepke, brother, Ron Roepke(Margaret), nieces, nephews, many dear friends and his dog, Rudy. Roger was also a soon-to-be great-grandpa for the first time. Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Vi of 58 years, who passed away on November 12, 2009. Funeral Services will take place Friday March 4, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Reverend Larry Williams officiating. Visitation 11-12:45 Friday. Burial at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery following services. A luncheon at White Fox Den II will follow the cemetery services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to Tichigan Lions Club or Tichigan VFW Post 10441.
