Richard C. Lancaster

Richard C. Lancaster, 86 of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home on December 11, 2023. Born
January 3, 1937 in Milwaukee to Alfred and Bernice Lancaster, he spent his early years in Milwaukee
before moving to Waterford. After 30 years of working for American Motors Kenosha, he retired to the
north woods, making his home in Iron River, Michigan. While living there, he spent his time doing the
things he loved which included painting wild life, enjoying the outdoors, and winning chili cook-off
competitions. He was also an avid sports fan. Due to health issues, he moved back to the Waterford area
where he spent his last years with family.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Donna, brother Thomas, and son-in-law
Dennis Acker. He is survived by his brother Harold (Patricia), daughters Linda Acker, Cindy (Jerry)
Gummo, Kerry (Peter) Mealy, and sons Curtis (Kelly) and Clinton Lancaster, as well as eleven
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Aurora Home Hospice and special thanks to close
family friend, Lisa Hilgenburg, for her help and support.
A private graveside service is being planned.
