Mr. Raymond Degenhardt

Degenhardt, Raymond H. “Ray” Age 78 of Brookfield passed away with family at his side May 21, 2009 at Franciscan Woods Nursing Care of Brookfield. Ray was born May 17, 1931 in Milwaukee the son of the late Herman and Alma (Nee.Buchholtz) Degenhardt. He spent his early life in Milwaukee, and on December 20, 1952 at the Congregational Church in Oconomowoc he married Rose Marie Belau. The couple lived in Milwaukee after marriage and spent the last 34 years in Brookfield. Ray was a Stationary Engineer by trade and retired from Capitol Court, he also was a Locksmith. Ray was a member of Brookfield Presbyterian Church Survived by loving wife of 56 years Rose M. (nee. Belau) Degenhart, Children: Alex (Voula) Degenhardt of Mequon, Mary (Paul) Sneesby of Random Lake, Laura (Frank) Palmer of Random Lake, Eve Silverstein of Aurora ILL. , Gina (Mike) Vogl of Fondulac and Lisa Aldrich of Milwaukee. Eleven Grandchildren: Zoe (Mano) Kastanias, Aleka Degenhardt and George Degenhardt, John (Dianna) Sneesby, Rebecca Sneesby and Joshua Sneesby, Heather Leona Palmer, Rachel Silverstein and Anne Silverstein, Katie Vogl andEmma Vogl. Also survived by two great – grandchildren: Rylie and Ariel. Further survived by sisters: Helen Klaviter, Joan Kleewin and Mabel Schmidt, and brothers: William (Rose) Degenhardt, Albert (Bonnie) Degenhardt and Jim (Sally) Degenhardt other relatives and friends. Services Tuesday May 26th 12:30 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Ann Fisher officiating with burial at Rochester Cemetery. Visitation in the funeral home Tuesday 10:30-12:30. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either Multiple Sclerosis or the Salvation Army.
