Raymond D Armes

Armes, Raymond D., age 86, of Tichigan, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on November 10, 2016. Ray was born in Louisville, KY to Cliva and Ethel (nee. Dale) Armes on February 28, 1930. For most of his life he called Tichigan home, and married Donna Burns on July 3, 1952. Ray was employed as a commercial electrician for Allis Chalmers and he was the Assistant Fire Chief of the Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company in his earlier days. Ray also had what he called "the best job any one could have", maintenance man at Green Meadows Petting Farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the company of family and friends.

Ray is survived by three grandchildren: Andy (Kristene Klose) Keyes, Keri (Calvin) Schmidt, Lori (Dr. Thomas) Smedberg; great-grandchildren: Raelyn and Oliver Keyes; step great-grandchildren: Calvin Schmidt Jr., Matthew and Chase Schmidt and Dusty Siemers; son-in-law: Perry Keyes; brothers: Donald and James, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife: Donna, daughter: Barbara Keyes, and nine brothers and sisters.
A Private Family service will be held at a later date to honor Ray.
Memorials may be made to the Tichigan Volunteer Fire Company, 8205 Big Bend Rd., Waterford, WI 53185 in memory of Ray.
