Mr. Michael "Mike" Pluta

Pluta, Michael A. “Mike”, age 39, died at his home in Milwaukee on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Mike was born in Waukesha, WI on November 17, 1973, the son of Carolyn (nee. Ries) and James R. Pluta Sr. Mike worked in auto restorations and upholstery repair most of his life. He had a special place in his heart for K-9 friends, especially his dearly beloved “Kato” who passed on many years ago. Mike was involved with the Madison Rottweiler Rescue. He was a car show enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his cars and the Trans Am Club. He is survived by his mother: Carolyn R. Pluta, brother: Jim Pluta Jr., sister: Sue (Joel) Dawes, niece: Sam, nephew: A.J., grandpa: R.J. (Vera) Ries, his wife: Joanne and her two nieces: Tanja and Elizabeth, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father: James R. “Jim” Pluta Sr., his grandparents and great aunt. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 from 9-10:45 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 South First Street (Hwy 20) Waterford. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Church. Burial in the Church Cemetery following Mass. Private visitation will be held for Joanne's family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Mealy Funeral Home.
