Brown, Melvin M., age 90, of Waterford, passed peacefully on November 15, 2017. Melvin was born in Waukesha on November 8, 1927, the son of the late Walter and Elsie (nee. Sondermann) Brown. Melvin lived most of his life on the family farm in Waterford. He attended Pilgrim graded and Washington graded schools. He also attended Sunday school at Norway Lutheran Church where he was confirmed. For over 30 years he worked at Oil Gear in Milwaukee where he had retired. Melvin was a part time farmer and enjoyed his time outdoors on the family farm. He enjoyed Polka music throughout his entire life, whether he was playing his accordion with a local band or just sitting listening to Polka music, it was a good day for Melvin. Uncle Melvin loved spending time with his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Melvin is survived by one sister: Myrtle Bucholtz, two brothers: Leslie (Edwina) Brown and Ralph Brown; and by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother: Roland, sister: Ruth (Art) Delzer, brother-in-law: Robert Bucholtz, sister-in-law: Barbara Brown and niece: Judy Camilletti.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 from 12:00-1:00 PM in the Funeral Home, with services starting at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark Jaramillo officiating. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Waterford following services. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to Norway Lutheran Church.
