Henningfeld, Maryann (nee. Papineau) age 74 of Spring Prairie Township formerly Rochester entered eternal life on Monday July 31, 2023. Born in Cicero, Illinois June 15, 1949, the daughter of the late Donald and Mildred (nee. Schultz) Papineau. Maryann was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Burlington. On August 23, 1969, she married William “Bill” Henningfeld at St. Mary’s Catholic church in Burlington. The couple raised 6 children on the family farm in Rochester. Maryann worked for Sta-Rite/Pentair for 27+ years before retirement. She was a farmer’s wife, milking cows, tending to the animals, and daily chores of keeping a family farm together was one of her true passions. Maryann was known to be a creative soul and enjoyed gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles and playing board games with her grandkids. According to her family she was an amazing Daughter, Wife, Mother and Grandma – Lil G. Sadly, missed by all her family and devoted friends who loved her dearly.
Survived by children: Barb (Tom) Howard, Judy Schweitzer, Mark (Katie) Henningfeld, Karen (Rick) Johnson and Cyndi (Mark) Nesson. Also survived by grandchildren: Shelby and Caleb Wagner, Cheyenne Schweitzer, Kellyn and Mallory Henningfeld, Aubree and Savana Nesson. Sister-in-law of Don (Shelle) Henningfeld; Dave(Eileen) Henningfeld; Steve(Patty) Henningfeld; Chuck(Roxanne) Henningfeld; James(Linnet) Henningfeld and Mary(Robert) Kittel. Further survived by Brother-in-law Dan Jacobson other relatives and countless friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, daughter Cathy Wagner, grandson Lane Schweitzer, her sister Nancy Jacobson and special cousin Donald D. Papineau
Visitation will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on Friday August 4, 2023, from 9 AM until 12:40 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be held beginning at 1:00 PM Friday. Burial at Mt. Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family suggests two options: Seeds of Hope in Elkhorn Wisconsin, and donation can be made online at:
