Aspinall, Mary Elizabeth, age 94, of Rochester, died peacefully at Oak Ridge Care Center in Union Grove on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Mary was born September 21, 1922, the daughter of the late Glenn and Edith (nee. Hibbard) Aspinall. She was a lifelong resident of Rochester and grew up on her parent’s farm. Mary was a graduate of the Rochester Ag School. She was the owner of The Think Shop and The Alcove Bookstore in Burlington for twenty-three years. Mary was an animal rights activist and supporter of animal rights. She enjoyed her country garden with its flowers and trees, berry bushes and vegetables.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis Zelenski and brother-in-law Jerome Helding, and by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Edith Aspinall, her brother Robert, and by her sisters Alice Grosshuesch and Patricia Helding, two brothers-in-law Herbert Grosshuesch and Joseph Zelenski.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Mary's family would appreciate memorial donations be given to your favorite Humane Society in memory of Mary.
