Wogaman, Martin Lee age 81 of Waterford passed away peacefully Thursday June 1, 2017 at Burlington Rehabilitation Center. Martin was born on July 2, 1935 in Manchester, Ohio the son of the late Leonard and Gertrude (nee. Schuman) Wogaman. After graduating high school and junior college he joined the Air National Guard where he served proudly 1957 till 1964. Martin was a contract Drafter by trade working for many companies including Beloit Corp, Case Company and Fairbanks Morse. On November 20, 1990, he married Martha Ann (nee. Haugen) Lehmann in Waterford. He was a proud member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford where he served as an usher, on the Board of finance and sang in the choir. He was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beloit and was a Boy Scout Leader for many years in Beloit.
Martins hobbies included Airplanes and trains, a special project included the restoration of a B-35 Aircraft at Burlington Airport. Martin also had a special love for all pets and animals.
Survived by his wife Martha, Children: Matthew(Janet), Mark, A.J. (Catarina), John(Wanda), Jeff(Tracy) and Bill (Tanya) ,12 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren Sister Nancy(Pete) Brother-in-law Jack, Sisters-in-law Janette, Carol (Ed), former wife Shirley Wogaman along with other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, and sister Dixie.
Memorial gathering with family Thursday June 8th 10-12 AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 145 South 6th Street Waterford. Services will begin at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Conradt officiating. Light lunch will be served in the Church Hall following services.
Memorials suggested by the family to either St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Alzheimer’s Association or Humane Society of one’s choice.
Special Thank You goes to the staff of Burlington Rehabilitation Center for their special care of Martin, and for the friends of Martha whom helped with transportation for visits with Martin.
