Mrs. Marian D. Mehring

Mehring, Marian D. (nee. Barta), age 91, passed away peacefully at Holy Family Villa in Palos Park, Illinois on October 15, 2016. Marian was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on February 9, 1925 the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie (nee. McCarthy) Barta. Her mother Nellie passed away in 1930 and then her father married Helen Biskup. She was a 1943 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School in Cedar Rapids. She married Eugene Mehring at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Burlington. The couple lived in Burlington until 1957, then moved to Orland Park, IL. Marian was a restaurant hostess for many years. She was a former member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington and current member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Palos Park, IL.

Marian is survived by her children: Stephen, Carol (Michael) McAninch, Barbara, Jane and Thomas Mehring; grandchildren: Michelle, Matthew and Alex. She is further survived by three great-grandchildren, one sister: Betty Peieters, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother: Helen; one brother: Chuck and one son Mark William.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 from 5-7 PM in the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 440 Kendall Street, Burlington, WI. Burial in the church cemetery to follow Mass.
