Mrs. Lydia Lilly Gonder

Gonder, Lydia Lilly Age 77 of Waterford Lil Gonder age 77 of Waterford Wisconsin left this world to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday Feb 6th, 2011. She was born in Forest Park, Illinois on December 29th, 1933 to Gustav and Lydia Frey. She attended St. John Lutheran Church and School with her brother John Frey. Lilly met the love of her life, Albert Millson Gonder at the young age of 13 and married him at age 20. She worked at Hines VA Hospital in Maywood, Ill, as a medical transcriptionist. She then stayed home to raise 5 children…Mark, Spring, Scot, Susan and Alison. Lil and Al moved to Waterford in the early 1990’s to spend their retirement in Buena Park. Surviving cancer for many years, Lil continued to enjoy the love she gave and recieved from many..including her surviving family of 5 children, 14 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, sons and daughters-in-law, brother and sister-in-law, nephews, nieces and loving husband of 57 years. Lydia was known by many names to those who knew and loved her….Lil, Lydia, Lilly, Mom, Grandma, Ohma, Grandmommy and St. Lil. Her unconditional love and strong faith in God defined her life… A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life.
