Hardie, Lucille Katherine (nee. Kreuscher) age 92, of Waterford, passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Lucille was born in Paris Township, Kenosha County, the daughter of the late William and Laura (nee. Prange) Kreuscher. She attended Paris Three Oaks Graded School and graduated Rochester Ag School. On May 21, 1949 she married George Stockwell Hardie at Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Lucille worked at Sta-Rite in Waterford for 20+ years. She was a devoted member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Lucille enjoyed cooking, canning, baking, gardening, and watching the Brewers play. She also enjoyed watching Brett Favre on the football field. She made amazing meals for her family, especially for the Holidays. Her family was very important to her.
Lucille is survived by children, Judy (Gary) Burmeister, Bonnie (Marc) Skelding, George Hardie, and Carol (Bill) Stoll; grandchildren, Stacy, Bryan, Matt, Justin, Andrew, Victoria, Patrick, Jordan, Stephanie, and William. Further survived by eight great-grandchildren, one brother-in-law Richard, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband George, grandson Michael, sisters and brothers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 from 10:30-12:00 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 South 6th Street, Waterford, Wisconsin 53185. Services will begin at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Joshua Conradt officiating. Burial at Rochester Cemetery following services. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family (George Hardie) to be distributed as per Lucille’s wishes. Family wishes to thank Aurora at Home Hospice and Aurora Cancer Care for their compassionate care of Lucille.
