Mrs. Lucille Kafer Fliess

Fliess, Lucille Kafer (nee. Schmidt) Age 85 of Town of Norway, Passed away at home December 2, 2009. Born December 15, 1923 the daughter of the late Theodore and Eleanora (nee. Saltzmann) Schmidt on the family farm in Town of Norway. Lucille was a graduate of Waterford Union High, and Union Grove Normal School. She was a special education teacher in Racine County for many years. On January 4, 1943 in Dubuque Iowa she married Emil Kafer whom preceded her in death, and on August 1, 1981 she married Clarence Fliess Sr. whom survives her. Lucille was a proud member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Waterford, and loved Gardening. Survived by husband: Clarence Fliess Sr., Two Children: Kenneth (Jan) Kafer and Mary (Michael) Jasinski, Five Stepchildren; Karen (Paul) Funk, Debra (Scott) Harmes, Robert Fliess, Denise (Steve) LaCanne and Jay Fliess; Six Grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, first husband: Emil Kafer, two brothers: Al and Elmer Schmidt, sister-in-law: Ruth Kwiatkowski and one stepchild: Clarence Fliess Jr. Services Sunday December 6th 4:00 PM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 145 South 6th Street, Waterford. Visitation in Church 2-4 PM Sunday. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery Hwy 83 one mile North of Waterford Monday December 7th, meet at the cemetery 9:30 AM.
