Baumeister, Lawrence “Larry”, age 60, of Rochester, passed away peacefully at his home on April 29, 2010. Larry was born in Waterford on January 31, 1950, the son of Cletus and Anna Marie (nee. DeGrave) Baumeister. He graduated from Waterford High School and went on to college, receiving a technical degree in mechanics. Larry was a retired mechanic from J.I. Case after 30 years of service. He was a member of the J.I. Case thirty-year club. Larry was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. According to his family, he enjoyed Hot Rods, Harleys and Nascar, but most of all, he was always willing to help and he could fix anything. He is survived by his Mother: Anna Marie Baumeister, his children: Brenda (Leonard) Hannula of Burlington and Bradley (Michelle) Baumeister of Waterford, grandchildren: Breanna, Isaac, Alec, Kayleen and Haustin. Sisters and brothers: Darrell (Kathleen) Baumeister, Dennis Baumeister, Cindy (Rick) Drallmeier, Beth (Jim) Herrmann and Lori (Glen) Sagert. He is also survived by sister-in-law: Brenda Baumeister, his former wife and mother of his children: Jeannie Hall and further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Proceeded in death by his father Cletus, brother Greg, niece Julie and great niece Talia. Mass of Christian Burial with Reverend Gene Doda Officiating will be held Monday, May 3, at 6:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 South First Street (Hwy 20) Waterford.
