Mr. Kenneth Miller

Miller, Kenneth P. “Ken”, Age 80, of Waterford, passed away on January 3, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born in Milwaukee, May 23, 1931, the son of Peter and Caroline (nee. Mickelson) Miller. He was a graduate of Marquette High School and went on to study at Marquette University, also attending MSOE during his working years. On October 17, 1953 he married Beverly J. Engel at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. He served his country in the Army and the National Guard. He was a Quality Assurance Manager for Allis Chalmers for many years and had also worked for Treat All Metals. As a long time member of St. Thomas Church he served as an usher. Ken also served on the Waterford Village Board as a trustee and as a member of the Waterford Lions Club he held the president’s office for a term. In his younger days he loved to golf and bowl. Later on he cherished time in the north woods near Stormy Lake. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Beverly, one son: Greg (Jill) Miller, two grandsons: Daniel and David, one brother: Gordon (Trudy) Miller and one sister-in-law: Audrey Rosenthal. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 South First Street, Waterford, Wisconsin. Visitation in church from 10-11:45 AM. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials to either St. Thomas Church or The Medical College of Wisconsin – Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research.
