Kenneth Jacobs

Jacobs, Kenneth A. “Ken”, age 75 from the town of Norway died peacefully at his residence October 17, 2009. Born June 1, 1934 in Burlington, Wisconsin the son of the late Anthony J. and Mary (nee. Smetana) Jacobs. He attended Hillcrest graded school and Rochester Agricultural Schools. On June 21, 1958 he married Dorothy F. Bergmann. Ken was a member of the Wind Lake Fire Department for 20 years, 4H leader and a committed snow plower for the town of Norway for numerous years. Ken had a special love for farming, hunting and fishing. Survived by loving wife Dorothy, sons: Anthony (Mary) Jacobs, Tim (Beth) Jacobs, Ted (Jill) Jacobs, Terry (Mona) Jacobs, and daughter: Christina (Brian) Blawat; fifteen grandchildren, three great-granchildren. Two sisters: Mildred (Norman) Johnson, and Patricia (Marv) Jacobson. Also survived by an aunt: Irene Wintis, and many nieces, nephews and special friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday October 21, 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 307 South First Street, Waterford, Wisconsin. Burial following Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Town of Dover. Visitation in church on Wednesday 9-11 AM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family for the funds to be distributed amongst Ken’s favorite charities.
