Mr. John Monahan

Monahan, John Francis, 58, of Waterford, WI, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2013 at Burlington Memorial Hospital, in Burlington, WI. John was born April 22, 1955 to Edward and Marie Monahan in New York, NY. At a young age JohnÂ’s family moved to Elmhurst, IL, where he graduated from York High School. After high school he graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy and then went on to graduate from Marquette University. John spent 6 years in the Army, reaching the rank of Captain. He was a member of the Pershing Rifles at Marquette University, a 20 year member of the Shamrock Club, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He also loved shooting and war gaming. John is survived by his two children: Brendan Monahan of Macomb, IL, and Bridget Monahan of Waterford, WI. He is further survived by sisters: Jean (John) McKiernan, Maureen (Robert) Undine, Patricia Monahan, and Therese (Cliff) Courrier. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, 7:00 PM at Mealy Funeral Home, 225 W. Main St. Waterford, WI, 53185.
