Mrs. Joan Ann Donaldson (nee: Neumann)

Donaldson, Joan Ann, age 89, of Waterford passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side February 15, 2022. Joan was born to George F. and Eleanor K. (nee: Ruszewski) Newmann November 21, 1932, in Milwaukee. Joan married the love of her life, Melvin H. Donaldson in December 1959, after their engagement. Joan raised their family and enjoyed cooking and baking for them any chance she had. Joan was known for her sewing skills, there was nothing she couldn’t sew. However, she was known as “The Sweatshirt Lady” for the lovely sweatshirts she would make. All these things Joan would do only came second to the love and enjoyment she got from her family and friends; she will be dearly missed.
Joan is survived by four children: Robert (Linda), James (Rachel), Richard and Susan (Russell); nine grandchildren: Lindsey, Joshua, Jessica, Jason, Lisa, Matthew, Kelly and Katie and other relatives and many friends.
Preceded in death by her loving husband, parents and three brothers; George, Thomas and William.
A visitation will be held at Mealy Funeral Home from 11–11:45 AM on Monday February 28, with the service starting at 11AM. A private burial will be done at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Joan’s family suggest memorials to “Your Favorite Charity” in Joan’s name.
