Mrs. Janice M. Greil

Greil, Janice M., age 93, of Waterford, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday March 15, 2016. She was born near Lake Denoon on January 29, 1923 the daughter of Howard and Merle (nee. Drought) Ellertson. She was a graduate of Waterford High School and attended Marquette University. On June 4, 1949 Janice married Rudolph “Rudy” Greil at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford. She was a homemaker and farmer's wife and loved to spend time in her flower garden. Janice enjoyed bird watching, raising white German shepherd dogs and antiquing. Her greatest joy was family; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janice is survived by four children: Carol (Art ”Butch”) Weber, Richard “Rick” (Leanne) Greil, Randy Greil and Linda (Steve) Dummer; grandchildren: Jeff Weber, Judy (Dave) Knipp, Bob (Kerry) Greil, Rebecca (Jason) Rydzik, Reggie (Tiffany) Greil, Chad Greil, Devin (Georgina) Greil, Stephanie (Jordan) Street and Cody (Megan) Dummer; along with eleven great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rudy and her brother Harold Ellertson Sr.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday evening March 22, 2016 from 5-7 PM with a private burial in St. Thomas Cemetery on Wednesday. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family suggests memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Waterford.
