James Gumprecht, a beloved brother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2025, in Waterford, Wisconsin. Born on January 3, 1956, in Belvidere, Illinois, James lived a life marked by kindness and dedication to his community.
For over four decades, James was a proud employee of Farm and Fleet. His commitment to his work was matched only by his passion for helping others. As an active member of the local Rotary Club, he devoted countless hours to service projects that uplifted those around him. His generous spirit touched many lives; whether through volunteering or simply lending an ear to someone in need, James embodied the essence of compassion. He most recently worked part time at Sprecher brewing fulfilling orders and attending trade shows.
James had a lifelong love for coin collecting—a hobby that began in his youth and grew into a treasured pursuit throughout his life. He loved to travel and would always tell stories of his trip to Switzerland and most recently had a road trip to visit the Grand Canyon where he planned to go again because of the beautiful views.
He is survived by his twin sister JoAnne Gumprecht and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Susan Kastning brother Timothy Gumprecht, and parents William and Louise Gumprecht.
Visitation will be held 10AM-12:15PM Saturday, January 18, 2025 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (145 6th Street Waterford, WI 53185), with a funeral service to follow at 12:30PM. Friends and family are invited to join together to celebrate the remarkable life of this gentle soul who left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
