Mr. James Jay Anderson (“Jim”)


Anderson, James J. “Jim”, age 78, of Rochester, passed away at University Hospital in Madison on July 15, 2023. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 24, 1945, the son and only child of the late Carl M. and Pearl E. (nee. Ariel) Anderson. On June 25, 2005, he married Kathy Scott in Waterford, Wisconsin. Jim enjoyed golfing for many years and especially loved the regular trips he and Kathy made to Door County over the last five years.
Survived by his loving wife Kathy; his two children, James S. Anderson; Cheri (Christopher) Capalbo; Kathy’s three children, Seth (Emily) Scott; Kyle (Deanna) Scott; Brooke (Brian) Baumeister; two grandchildren out East, Kylie and Connor Capalbo; thirteen grandchildren here, Abel, Isaiah, Henry, and Claire Scott; Gemma, Heath, and Rhett Scott; Weston, Roman, Lyla, Ivan, Ella, and Audra Baumeister. Further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, his church family at St. Peter’s, and a lifetime of friends. Preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 145 South Sixth Street, Waterford, WI 53185, on Thursday July 20, 2023, from 9-11 AM, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery following the service.
