Brierly, Irba Age 91 of Burlington passed away with family at his side in his home August 15, 2010. He was born in Langton, England March 26, 1919 to Leslie and Lucy (nee. Hughes) Brierly coming to this country at the age of 12. Irba attended Burlington High School. On September 13, 1941 he married Loretta Larson. He was a certified butter and cheese maker for Deans Foods and Pure Milk Association. He had retired from Southern Colony of Union Grove in 1981. He organized the Burlington Ukulele Band in 1983. He also was an avid bowler. Surviving are his wife of 69 years Loretta, Three sons: Douglas (Joan) and Kevin (Carol) of Burlington, and James of Pell Lake. One Daughter: Beverly (Jim) Meronek of Burlington, Seven grandchildren: Patrick (Kristin) Johnson, Shelly Janke, Michael (Nicole) Brierly, Benjamin (Kelly) Brierly, Andrew Brierly, Austin Meronek and Renee (Justin) Day, also survived by five great-grandchildren, one sister Audrey (Leonard) Jaguilski of Horicon other relatives and friends. A daughter Lynn, a Son Gregory and a Grandson Douglas preceded him in death. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Parish in Burlington Wednesday August 18th at 12:00 Noon. Visitation in the church chapel 10-11:45 Wednesday.
