Mr. Henry J. "Hank" Winski

Winski, Henry J "Hank" age 93, of Rochester, passed away at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee on October 8, 2021. He was born in Milwaukee on November 28, 1927, well actually November 18th, but records took 10 days to record (family joke)! Hank was the son of the late John and Natalie (nee. Siezputowski) Winski. He spent his early life in Milwaukee, the family moved to Rochester in the late 40's. Hank enlisted in the Navy where he proudly served his country for 2 years. On January 15, 1955, Hank married Yvonne Kersky in Milwaukee. The couple raised five children. Hank was the proud owner of Win Tool Corporation in Milwaukee for many years. He served on the Rochester Town Board as a board member for a while and was President from 1964 to 1967, and again from 1972 to 1974. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. His greatest enjoyment was the company of his loving family.
Survived by his children, Robin Lux of Rochester, Thomas (Gayam) of Waterford, Gregory (JoAnn) of Waterford and Melissa (Joseph) Wassenberg of Aniwa; grandchildren, Angela (Bob Albee), Nicholas (Chris Jasser), Jordan, Adam, Matthew (Katelyn), Andrew (Casey Ulland), Samuel, Lucas (Taylor Diener), Anna, and Emily Wassenberg; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Trent'n, Tucker, Reagan, Ryan, Laynee-Jo, and Joshua Jacob; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Maxine) Kersky, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Yvonne, daughter Susie and son-in-law Peter Lux, sister Alice Perla, and brothers Robert, John, Leonard, Daniel.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday October 22, 2021, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 South First Street Waterford, WI 3-5 PM with Mass beginning at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Special Olympics.
Hank's family wishes to send a heartfelt “Thank You” to the nurses and staff, especially Holly, at the Clement Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee for their loving care of our Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
