Went Home to the Lord Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at the age of 98 years surrounded by her caring family. Born to the late Charles Linabery and Emma (Nee Horner) on August 19,1925. She is reunited with her loving husband Reuben Nelson, grandson Mark Nelson, brothers Raymond, Richard, Irvin (Mary), sisters Mary (William) and Ruth. Loving mother of Gary (Madelyn) Nelson, Larry Nelson, Harry (Janet) Nelson, Sherry Gill (Jane Grochowski) and extended family Bill and Cathy Baumgardt. Proud grandmother of Mike, John, Renee, Scott, Chad, Tori, Stacy, Dawn, Shelly, Kim, and Amy. Helen was blessed with 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Helen worked at the Post Office, Johnson Cookie Factory and Jack Winters. She was a Licensed Foster Parent and childcare provider. Her passion was baking cookies and cheesecake. She loved preparing food for family gatherings and parties-she made delicious potato salad and BBQ that was always a family favorite. Helen was an avid bowler that started in 1965-2023, she finished her bowling career at the age of 97. She stayed active, enjoyed dancing, playing cards, gambling (Visiting Casinos) and fishing but most of all being with family and friends. Helen was a fun-loving woman who touched many lives and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held 9:30AM-12:15 PM Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Hales Corners Lutheran Church (12300 W. Janesville Rd. Hales Corners, WI 53130), with a funeral service to follow at 12:30 PM.
