Mrs. Harriette Juchemich

Juchemich, Harriette P. (nee. Sheahan) age 66, of Waterford, passed away at Memorial Hospital of Burlington on January 5, 2013. Harriette was born in Antioch, Illinois, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Jayne (nee. Robinson) Sheahan and later moved with her family to their Town of Dover Farm. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Burlington and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. She enjoyed her career as a social worker in the U.P. of Michigan. Harriette married Dale Juchemich and they resided in Gwinn, MI for 25 years. He preceded her in death in 2006. Harriette returned to the Burlington and Waterford area about 3 years ago. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Burlington, a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Dover and of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Gwinn, MI. She spent much of her time just having fun with her two dogs, Max and Hanna. She is survived by one step-daughter: Katherine Juchemich, one grandchild: Adonis and two great-grandchildren. Further survived by nine sisters and brothers: Joanne Lindoerfer, Kathy (Michael) Eder, Sharon (David) Smolensky, Maureen (Dennis) Winkler, Barbara Emerson, Jim (Laurie) Sheahan, Judy (Joe) Scaro, Joe (Pua) Sheahan and Dan (Larissa) Sheahan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 4:30-6:00 PM. Prayer services with Deacon Carl Mahnke will start at 6:00 PM in the Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass to be celebrated in Harriette’s name will be held at a later date. Private inurnment at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Dover Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to a charity of choice. Family wishes to send a special thank you to all of Harriette’s friends at Levi Barnes of Waterford for their compassion and care. Also, thank you to the Doctors and Staff at Memorial Hospital of Burlington's I.C.U., and to the Aurora VNA Hospice of Lake Geneva nurses and staff for their compassionate care.
