Harold Marvin Struck

August 15, 1936 — April 2, 2025

Racine – Harold Marvin Struck (Harry), a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on August 15, 1936, in Marshfield, Wisconsin to Harvey and Norma (nee: Kuehmichel) Struck. Harold lived a happy life cherishing every moment of time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Harold was a devoted husband and family man, survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (nee: Howard) Struck, and their children: Ara Struck, Toni (Richard) Bergeron, and Jolene Struck. His legacy is further carried on by his cherished grandchildren: Caleb Struck (Liz), Jayson Coman, Abigail Bergeron, Autumn Bergeron and Andrew (Cori) Bergeron, as well as his beloved great-grandchildren: Audriana Struck, Sophia Struck, Wyatt Struck, Jaiden Wollert, Ernesto Enciso, Alexander Bergeron, and Hannah Bergeron. He is further survived by his siblings: Beatrice Struck, Della (Mike) Dolato, Irvin (Sherri) Struck, and Natalie Rasmussen along with many more family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Harold was the second oldest of thirteen children. He began working at a very young age and throughout his high school years to help his family. At the age of six he worked on a farm and later he assisted his father at his job in the boiler room, set bowling pins, and managed 14 paper routes at one time. He also worked on cars with his father in the garage. He graduated from South Division High School in 1954 where he was on the track team, won his meets in a stellar fashion and set many new track records. He was a head lifeguard on Lake Michigan beaches. He saved the lives of 32 people and one time he even rescued two drowning adults at the same time.

He began his service in the Army in August 1959 and served in the Korean War.

He worked at American Motors/Chrysler Motors for 30+ years as a Machinist – Machine repairman. He met his wife through his sister Pat while on military leave, and they were married on October 28, 1961. Their three daughters were born in 1962, 1964 and 1966: Ara, Toni, and Jolene. Harold was an avid golfer and he was very passionate about it. He golfed until 2015, and had to stop due to health issues. He and his wife Phyllis participated in bowling leagues with their friends and enjoyed their evenings out together. Harold enjoyed shooting billiards with his brother Irvin, fishing with his father, brothers and daughters, and vacationing with his family, siblings, and parents at his parents’ home in Merrill, WI nearly every summer.

In 1986, Harold’s first and second grandsons were born: Caleb Struck (Toni’s son) and Jayson Coman (Jolene’s son); they were the highlight of his life. Oh, how he loved his grandsons…finally some boys in the family. In 1995 and 1998, his daughter Toni and son-in-law Rick gave him two more grandchildren: Abigail and Autumn Bergeron, and he really loved and enjoyed his granddaughters very much. With the marriage of Rick and Toni he gained another grandson, Andrew Bergeron and later two great-grandchildren: Alexander and Hannah Bergeron. Then Caleb gave him great-grandchildren: Audriana, Sophia, and Wyatt Struck, Jaiden Wollert, and Ernesto Enciso. Grandpa and Grandpapa adored all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his greatest joy in life.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Norma and his siblings: Leroy Struck, Roger Struck, Harvey Jr. Struck, Adele Struck, Patricia Webber, Carol Struck, Joanne Struck, and Vera Donaldson.

The family would like to thank True Life Homes for all the love and care they have shown Harold over the past seven months. Thank you so much.

Harold’s love for his family and his generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will love him and miss him, always.
