Parks Jr., Halmond L. age 78, of Waterford, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2023, at Boland Hall Veterans Home in Union Grove, Wisconsin. Halmond was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 26, 1945, the son of the late Nita Roberta (nee. Igou) and Halmond Loy Parks Sr. He spent his early life in Pasadena, California where he received an Associate’s degree in Electronics. Halmond proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to the states, he married Marie L. Gauthier on June 5, 1971 in Minden, Nevada. The couple lived in Pasadena, California until 2015 when they settled in Waterford, Wisconsin. Halmond was an electronic technician for Fluid Components International until age 70, when he retired. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and gun collecting.
Survived by his loving wife Marie, two children, Matthew (Catherine) and Brandon (Lisa); four grandchildren, Sophia, Mabel, Cosette, and Andie; one sister, Charlene Oleson, and one sister-in-law, Adele Parks. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Robert Parks, and Gerald Schnor.
Public committal services will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, Union Grove, Wisconsin 53182, on Wednesday March 15, 2023. Meet in the parking area at 1:45 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to WI Veterans Home - Boland Hall.
