Avila, Guadalupe (nee. Guardiola) Age 75, of Wind Lake, passed away on Tuesday, March 24th at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. Guadalupe was born April 30, 1933 in Crystal City, TX, the daughter of the late Ramon and Felicitas (nee. Garza) Guardiola. She spent her early life in Texas and on August 27, 1948 she married Antonio Avila in Eagle Pass, TX. The couple later moved to Wisconsin and had spent the last 52 years in the Wind Lake area. She was a housewife and wonderful mother to 10 children and for a short time worked for Foster Forbes of Burlington. A member of St. Clare Catholic Church of Wind Lake, she loved to contribute by selling tacos and raising money for the building fund, which built the first church. Survived by her husband Antonio, children: Mary Jane Simonsen, Marcos, Luis (Diane), Juan Miguel, Guadalupe (Rolando) Gamez, Juan Antonio, Esteban (Sherry), Reymundo, Isabel (Fred) Bublitz, Leticia (Greg) Withrow and by sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister: Maria Dolores Luna and brothers: Fidel, Pablo, Alejandro, Joseluis and Roberto Guardiola. She is further survived by other relatives, friends and good friend Julia Mendez. Proceeded in death by her parents, one brother Ramon and a granddaughter Anna Maria. Mass of the Christian Burial on Saturday, March 28th 10:00 AM at St. Clare Catholic Church, 7616 Fritz Street, Wind Lake, WI. Burial is at Good Hope Cemetery in Greenfield following Mass. Visitation Friday 4-6 PM in the Funeral Home.
