Ms. Geraldine H. Halbach

Halbach, Geraldine H., age 90, of Waterford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 28, 2015. Geraldine was born on April 21, 1925 in Waterford, the daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (nee. Reiske) Halbach. She was a graduate of Waterford High School and then enrolled in St. Vincent Pediatric Nursing School in Chicago, from where she earned her degree in 1945. Geraldine worked as a nurse for St. Vincent DePaul in Milwaukee which was run by the Sisters of Charity. She was also a private duty nurse in Milwaukee for a few years. Geraldine was a tireless caretaker of the Halbach family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Geraldine is survived by one brother: James L (Cele) Halbach; nieces and nephews: David (Ramona) Halbach, Marianne (Ken) Augspurger, Barbara (Mike) Bennet, Rich Halbach, Robert (Terri) Halbach, Debra Halbach and Vicki (Eddie) Roberson; special friends: Dale Sponholz, Arlene Duve and Anna Marie Tenfel; and by other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters and brothers: Mary Ann, Robert, twin brother Gerald, Jerome, David and Francis.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 31, 2015 from 10-10:45 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First Street, Waterford, with Mass beginning at 11:00 AM. Burial in the church cemetery to follow. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church are suggested.
