Mrs. Genevieve L. Reesman

Reesman, Genevieve L., age 97, passed away January 31, 2022, at Timber Oaks in Union Grove, WI. Genevieve was born in Caldwell, Wisconsin on August 12, 1924, the daughter of the late Sidney and Grace (nee. Dewar) VanValin. She was a graduate of Waterford Union High School. Genevieve married Lawrence Theordore Reesman and the couple had two children. Genevieve was a librarian for the Waterford and Rochester public libraries for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening and crocheting. Her greatest joy was the company of her loving family.
Genevieve is survived by her children, Kay (Robert) “Bob” Roloff of Franklin and Richard “Dick” (Elaine) Reesman of Mukwonago. She is survived by Kay and Bob’s children, Robert Roloff, Elizabeth (Martin) Taylor, Ann Roloff, and David Roloff; along with their children, Nate Taylor, Grace Taylor, Genevieve Zakszewski, Anthony Zakszewski, Ben Taylor, Jonah Roloff, and Lilly Roloff; and she is survived by Dick and Elaine’s children, Richard (Kristine) Reesman, Stacey (Timothy) Schmidt, and Kerry (Robert) “Bob” Greil, along with their children, Michael Schmidt, Paul Schmidt, Meghan Schmidt, Morgan Greil, Ella Greil, Taylor Greil, Ryan Reesman, Michaela Haig, and Zach Haig. Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Grace VanValin, and her husband Lawrence Reesman.
Per Genevieve’s wishes, private services will take place with burial alongside of her husband at Caldwell Cemetery. Family sends a heartfelt thank you the doctors, nurses and staff of Allay Home Hospice, Waterford Senior Living and Timber Oaks of Union Grove for their loving care of our mother and grandmother Genevieve.
