Kumm, Gary H., of Mount Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2016 at the age of 68. Gary had been retired from Meyers Material Company after a 30 year driving career. In 2012 he was diagnosed with leukemia and had been in remission since May of 2014 after receiving a bone marrow transplant.
Gary’s love for his children and grandchildren kept him busy every day. His many trips to sporting events, museums, zoos, State Fair, and a Disney World trip were all highlights of his life. He was involved in everything when it came to his family.
Gary leaves behind his wife Deborah, his five beloved children: Randy (Stephanie) Kumm, Erin (Rob) Tomes, Ryan (Jennifer) Kumm, Lindsay Kumm, Hailey Kumm and Chase; his ten cherished grandchildren: Chloe, Ella, Ashton, Nolan, Rylee, Emmy, Eliot, Jak, Scarlet, and Angel Zachary. He is further survived by his mother: Dorothy; one sister: Joyce (Tom) Kling, 2 brothers: Ed (Julie) and Ralph (Charmaine); his mother-in-law: Edna Flahart and brother-in-law: Don Flahart. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
Gary was preceded in death by his father Harold and father-in-law Donald Flahart.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Mealy Funeral Home – 225 West Main Street, Waterford, WI 53185. Services will begin at 7:00 PM. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to: Froedtert Hospital Foundation – 9200 W. Wisconsin Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53226.
