Hoefert, Floyd Edward, age 92, of Waterford, passed away November 28, 2022, with his loving family by his side. Floyd was born to Eric and Amanda (nee. Felski) Hoefert in Milwaukee, WI, on July 27, 1930. Floyd proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. from 1951-1953. After returning home from serving his country Floyd continued his education at UWM and began working as an assembler at Allis Chalmers, from where he retired after 31 years. In 1968 Floyd met Patricia Dawn Parmelee while dancing the Cha Cha at a social event. They were married on July 4, 1970, at Zion United Church of Christ in Milwaukee. Floyd was a member of Norway Lutheran Church in Wind Lake and was also the custodian for 15 years. Floyd and Pat loved to ride their bikes and would frequently ride to the Town Fryer for breakfast, and/or to Adrian’s for ice cream. They also enjoyed camping, roller skating, swimming, dancing the Cha Cha, and they even tried dog sledding.
Floyd is survived by stepchildren, David Lee Krythe, Patrice Jean Bliesner, Loret Sue (David) Bartol; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, sisters, June Ziarowski, Evelyn (Tony) Kysly, Ruth Hoefert, Lydia Wade, and brother Clarence Hoefert.
Visitation at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Rd, Wind Lake, WI 53185 on December 6, 2022, from 9-10:45 AM with services starting at 11:00 AM, followed by burial with military honors in the cemetery and a light lunch to follow in the church hall. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy memorials are suggested to Norway Lutheran Church.
