Mrs. Florence Kossow

Kossow, Florence Veronica, Age 89, of Waterford, passed away June 2, 2012 at Alzheimers Care Unit in Kenosha. She was born in Milwaukee, WI, on January 29, 1923, the daughter of Anton and Frances (nee. Grajkowski) Switala. Florence grew up in Milwaukee. On August 30, 1947, she married Richard O. Kossow whom preceded her in death on March 2, 2001. Florence was a cook for Food Service at Southern Colony in Union Grove and also at St. Thomas Graded School in Waterford. She loved to travel and enjoyed card playing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. She is survived by four children: Bob (Peggy), Penny (John) Willkomm, Gus (Evey), Ed (Judy), grandchildren: Craig, Amber, Danny, Tony, Novia, Tiffany, Mark, Michael, Karie and Judy, 5 ¾ great- grandchildren, one sister: Geraldine Kossow, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceeded in death by her parents, husband Richard in 2001 and one daughter Karen Kossow-Meyer in 2003. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, June 6,2012, from 4-6:45 PM.Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 South First Street, Waterford. Burial in the church cemetery following Mass.
