Mrs. Florence Doell

Doell, Florence F., Age 91, of Waterford, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on July 29, 2011. She was born in North Cape, Wisconsin, August 18, 1919, the daughter of Stanley and Ethel Braund. She attended Waterford High School. On October 28, 1939, she married Franklin Z. Doell at her residence in the Town of Norway. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2007. Together they lived in Milwaukee, Palmyra and Waterford, and for many years wintered in Arizona. Florence worked for and retired from General Electric Co. of Milwaukee as an inspector. She and Franklin joined the Peace Corps in 1962 under Kennedy’s presidency, traveling to Brazil for little more than a year. Florence was an avid reader and was extremely involved in her family and church. Loving Mother of Judy (Kenneth) Eulgen of Waterford. She is survived by her grandchildren: Kevin (Betsy) Eulgen of Burlington, Scott (Krissy) Eulgen of Lake Geneva and Patrick (Teri) Eulgen of Waterford, great-grandchildren: Stephanie, Lucas, Michael, Cody, Sarah, Caitlyn and Nolan. She is further survived by her sister Darlene (Dick) Laux, brother: John (Frieda) Braund, sister-in-law: Lillian Braund, and by nieces, nephews, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Franklin, and brother: Lowell. Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 9600 West Grange Avenue, Hales Corners, WI. Visitation will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening, August 3, from 6:00 until 8 PM and also Visitation in Church on Thursday from 9-10 AM. Interment will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery (Hwy 20) Racine following services Thursday. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Her family wishes to send a special thank you to all those that helped with Florence’s final journey, including: Robin Hoeft and LaVerne High, Beth Derks, Lynn Koonz and Catherine “Cat” Duran of Aurora VNA Hospice of Lake Geneva, Dr. Randall Schmidt and his nurse Deb for their care and to Charlotte Olsen for her love and kindness.
