Eugene F. Mehring

Mehring, Eugene F. Age 87 Orland Park, Illinois formerly Burlington Wisconsin. Passed away at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Illinois June 8th, 2007. Eugene was born on the Mehring Family Farm in the Town of Rochester, Racine County, Wisconsin, on July 29, 1919 to William and Rose (nee. Hoppe) Mehring. Eugene was a graduate of U.W. Madison with an Agriculture degree. He served his country in the Marines during WWII where he received a purple heart. On June 19, 1948 in St. Charles Catholic Church in Burlington he married Marian D. Barta. The couple moved to Orland Park Illinois in 1958. . Survived by his wife Marian, children: Stephen Mehring, Carol (Michael) McAnich, Barbara, Jane & Thomas Mehring. Also survived by three loving grandchildren: Michelle, Matthew & Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant son Mark William, and two sisters: Colleta Bossler and Mary Hoyer, along with one brother William “Bill” Mehring. Mass of Christian burial Tuesday June 12th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 440 Kendall Street, Burlington with Reverend Steve Amann officiating burial will follow in the church cemetery.
