Effie C. Mohr, of Waterford, age 102, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012 at Village at Manor Park. Effie was born May 12, 1910 in Viroqua, WI to Mathias and Betsy (Rudser) Pederson. On January 9, 1937 she married the love of her life Bauer Mohr in Milwaukee, WI. Effie took night classes at UW-Milwaukee and worked as bookkeeper and manager of Eva Caroline Laundry before she began her life as a mother and homemaker, she loved and cherished her family. She was an active member of the Community United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Effie loved to travel: spending months in Florida and California. Effie was a Packer, Brewer and golf fan. Effie is survived by her children: Sandra (George) Robak of Greenfield, WI, Atty. Robert (Susan) Mohr of Apollo Beach, FL, Judge James (Sarah) Mohr of Eagle River, WI and Dr. Thomas (Pamela) Mohr of Pleasantville, IA; 21 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters: Albon and Orris Pederson both of Viroqua, WI, and Gladys Deblitz of Milwaukee. Effie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bauer in 1986 and brother’s: Oscar, Eddie (Effie’s twin), Ray, a sister Marie and a grandson: Matthew. Funeral services for Effie will be 12:00 (noon) Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Community United Methodist Church (455 S. Jefferson St. Waterford, WI 53185), with Rev. John Wulz officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at German Settlement Cemetery, Township of Spring Prairie, WI.
