Edna Mae Malsch (nee Rhodes)of Mukwonago, formerly Burlington, passed away November 1, 2010 with family at her side. She had just recently celebrated her 101st birthday. She was born October 13, 1909 in Brighton Township, Kenosha County, to Ernest and Lulu Belle Rhodes. Edna was a graduate of Union Grove High School. She worked at Rose’s Bakery in Burlington. She married Gordon Malsch of Lyons in 1954 and helped him raise three daughters. In 1968 they moved to Burlington. Edna and Gordon were avid travelers. For many years they traveled, covering thousands of miles with their Airstream trailer. Edna is survived by daughters Jane Weiser, Onalaska, Judy Anderson, Mukwonago, son-in-law, Cecil Dick, Burlington, sister Marion Hammiller, Burlington, a niece Ruth (Ervin Forgy) Hammiller of Fort Atkinson, and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, daughter Gloria Dick, son-in-law Ralph Anderson, and brother-in-law Cyril Hammiller. Graveside services were held November 5 at Hudson Cemetery, Lyons. A special thank you to the caring staff at Linden Grove of Mukwonago.
