Douglas Paul Pachucki

August 26, 1946 — February 12, 2025

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Leo and Ione (Scott) Pachucki, passed away on February 12, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy. He is survived by his two sisters, Patricia (Dick) Platzek and Beverly (Robert) Harland, and numerous nieces, nephews, and Nancy's sisters in PA.

Over the years, Doug lived in Alaska, Japan, and Texas. He was enlisted in the United States Air Force as a Russian translator, where he participated in reconnaissance missions. He developed a deep appreciation for the Russian language and even considered a career as a Russian teacher. Douglas was a proud Badger, earning his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After college, Doug traveled extensively while working as a manager for a gas station company. After moving to Pennsylvania, he met and fell in love with his true life partner, Nancy.

When they married, they relocated to Wisconsin, where he returned to further his education to obtain his law degree from Marquette University. Doug established his own criminal law firm in Milwaukee. Remarkably, Doug never lost a murder case, which led other law firms to approach him based on his outstanding record. He later served as a Circuit Judge for the Town of Norway.

As a true Wisconsinite, Doug enjoyed attending and watching Wisconsin sports teams such as the Wisconsin Badgers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed taking his niece, Alisha, and nephew, Justin, to games when they visited. Doug fondly remembered his time spent golfing and had once considered pursuing a professional career in the sport. He enjoyed traveling to Pennsylvania, Prairie du Chien, and cherished his memories at the Outer Banks with his wife and family from PA.

Doug was an inquisitive individual and an avid seeker of knowledge. He enjoyed trivia facts that he learned online and enjoyed watching Jeopardy and playing trivia games. In recent years, he has enjoyed going to the Waterford Public Library to select movies to watch and has liked playing Mexican Train Dominoes competitively with his wife. He will be fondly remembered for his passion for desserts, his dry sense of humor, and his entertaining stories.

Memorial visitation will be held 1PM-3PM Monday, February 24, 2025 at the COTTON EXCHNAGE PLANTATION HALL (345 Hickory Hollow Road Waterford, WI 53185), with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 3PM.  Please wear Badger Red in honor of Doug or purple, his wife's favorite color.
