Mrs. Dorothy Mae Heimark (nee: Douglass)

Heimark, Dorothy Mae, age 91, of Wind Lake passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side September 8, 2022. Dorothy was born to Lee and Ella (nee. Shiding) Douglass in Newberry, Michigan on January 15, 1931. Dorothy was raised and educated in Newberry where she graduated from Newberry High School. Dorothy and Merwyn were next door neighbors since childhood, where they grew up on the “River Road” together. Dorothy and Merwyn eventually got engaged and were married on November 3, 1950. Dorothy and Merwyn moved to Milwaukee, WI to begin their new life and raise their family. Dorothy worked for General Motors as a classified typist for the Apollo Space Program. After completing her work with General Motors, she started a job with Milwaukee Co. as a Human Resource Analyst for many years. She was a proud member of St. Sabastian Catholic Church. Dorothy moved to Wind Lake in 1992 where she enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all who knew her.
Dorothy is survived by children, Teresa (Kurt) Rotar, Dennis (Carol), Thomas (Ann), Joseph (Robin); grandchildren, Erik (Julie), Kristin (Jon), Jessica (Patrick), Briana (Matthew), Samantha (Preston); great grandson, Eamon, and by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and loving husband Merwyn.

Private services have already taken place as per Dorothy’s wishes. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI.
